Ali Pandir received his BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, in Istanbul, Turkey.

He started his career as Project Engineer at Koc R&D Center. After his first position, he has gained experience at Otokar as Manufacture Engineering, Production and Plant Manager.

Ali Pandir has held numerous managerial and executive positions within GM Turkey and abroad, he was appointed respectively; After Sales Manager in Turkey, International After Sales Manager in Germany, New Vehicle Projects Manager in Singapore, General Manager in Shanghai – China, Supply Chain Regional Director and Managing Director in Singapore, President Director in Jakarta – Indonesia.

Pandir has held the CEO position at Tofas between 2006 and 2012 with outstanding achivements. He also served as Country President for all Fiat operations in Turkey. Between 2013 and 2017 he was the Chairman of the Board and CEO at Erdemir Group which is the third largest steel company in Europe.
